Teverun: The Future of High-Performance Scooters

Engineered for the Extremes. Refined for the Road.

At Techboss, we don’t just sell scooters; we ride them. That is why we brought Teverun to Malta. Born from a legendary collaboration between the CEO of Blade and the giants at Minimotors (Dualtron), Teverun represents the perfect fusion of robust durability and cutting-edge technology.

While other brands focus on cutting costs, Teverun focuses on components. From KKE hydraulic suspension to self-healing tires, every inch of a Teverun scooter is built to survive—and conquer—Malta’s unique road conditions.

Why Teverun Stands Alone

Most electric scooters look the same on paper. But when you look under the deck, the Teverun difference becomes obvious.

1. KKE Adjustable Hydraulic Suspension

Forget the stiff, bumpy rides of the past. Teverun equips its Fighter series with KKE Hydraulic Suspension—the same technology found on high-end mountain bikes.

  • The Benefit: You can adjust the rebound to your weight and riding style. Whether you are hitting a pothole in Gzira or cruising smooth tarmac in Ta’ Xbiex, the suspension absorbs the shock, not your knees.

2. Sine Wave Controllers (The “Brain” of the Scooter)

Many scooters use “Square Wave” controllers, which result in jerky, noisy acceleration. Teverun uses advanced Sine Wave Controllers.

  • The Benefit: Silence and smoothness. You get instant power without the “jolt,” allowing for precise control when filtering through slow-moving traffic or accelerating out of a corner.

3. Smart Tech: TFT Display & NFC Security

No more cheap plastic throttles. Teverun scooters feature vibrant TFT Color Displays that show everything from battery voltage to internal temperature.

  • The Benefit: Security is standard. You don’t need a key that can be picked. Teverun scooters unlock with a personalized NFC Card (just like a credit card) or via the Teverun App on your phone, ensuring your ride stays yours.

4. Self-Healing Tubeless Tires

Flat tires are a rider’s worst nightmare. Teverun’s high-end models come with tubeless tires lined with a jelly layer.

  • The Benefit: If you roll over a nail or glass, the jelly layer instantly seals the puncture, preventing air loss so you can keep riding instead of pushing your scooter home.

Why After 6 Years of Segway, I Chose Teverun to Join the Techboss Family

By Kevin Pisani Zammit, Founder of Techboss Malta

For six years, Techboss has been synonymous with Segway-Ninebot. And for good reason. Segway is the “Toyota” of electric scooters—reliable, safe, and virtually indestructible. I have built my business on the trust that when I sell a Segway, I am selling peace of mind.

But as the electric scooter scene in Malta evolved, so did your needs. You started asking for more.

More torque for the steep hills in Mellieħa. More suspension for the potholes in Marsa. And a more aggressive, “off-road” capability that the polished Segway lineup—as good as it is—doesn’t fully cater to.

I spent 12 months testing different brands to find a machine that could sit proudly next to a Segway GT2 in my showroom without looking like a toy. I tested Kaabo, Zero, and Vsett.

I chose Teverun. Here is why.

1. The “Minimotors” DNA (Quality You Can Trust)

I didn’t just pick a random factory in China. Teverun is a collaboration between the CEO of Blade and Minimotors (the makers of Dualtron).

If you know scooters, you know Dualtron is the gold standard for performance. Teverun uses this engineering heritage—high-quality sine wave controllers, robust folding mechanisms, and industry-leading motors—but packages it in a more refined, stable chassis.

When I opened up the deck of the Teverun Fighter Supreme, I didn’t see a mess of wires (common in other “performance” brands). I saw organized cabling, thick gauge wires, and branded components. That is when I knew: This is Techboss quality.

2. Bridging the “Off-Road” Gap

Segway makes incredible urban machines. The Segway GT2 is a masterpiece of design, but it is built for the track and smooth tarmac. It is heavy, low to the ground, and uses a complex suspension system that is amazing for stability but stiff on rough terrain.

Teverun bridges the gap.

They are built with an “Off-Road First” mentality.

  • Suspension: The Teverun Fighter series uses KKE Hydraulic Suspension (the same brand used on electric dirt bikes). It eats up Maltese potholes that would make other scooters rattle.
  • Ground Clearance: Teverun scooters sit higher, giving you the confidence to drop off a curb or ride over debris without scraping the bottom.

3. The Flagship Battle: Segway GT2 vs. Teverun Fighter Supreme

Many of you have asked how the new Teverun flagship compares to the legendary Segway GT2. The GT2 is a “Grand Tourer”—luxury and stability. The Fighter Supreme is a “Hyper Scooter”—raw power and adrenaline.

Here is the data:

FeatureSegway GT2 (The Luxury Cruiser)Teverun Fighter Supreme (The Beast)Winner
Top Speed70 km/h (Global Version)100 km/h+ (Restricted to 25km/h)Teverun (Pure Adrenaline)
Battery Voltage52V System72V SystemTeverun (More Torque/Power)
Max Range~60-90 km~100-120 kmTeverun (Distance King)

Build Quality10/10 (Automotive Grade)9/10 (High Performance Grade)Segway (Just barely)
Weight52 kg45 kgTeverun (Lighter & Faster)

My Take: If you want a refined, futuristic scooter that looks like a Tesla, buy the Segway GT2. But if you want a machine that is lighter, faster, has softer suspension for bad roads, and costs less per watt of power—buy the Teverun Fighter Supreme.

4. The Commuter Upgrade: Ninebot Max G2 vs. Teverun Blade Mini

The Ninebot Max G2 is the best selling scooter in the world for a reason. But what happens when you need more than a single motor?

I added the Teverun Blade Mini Pro to my lineup specifically for customers who love the size of the Max G2 but need Dual Motor power for hills.

(Chart: Hill Climbing Ability)

  • Ninebot Max G2 (Single Motor):
    • Slope: 22% Grade
    • Speed on Hill: 15 km/h
    • Result: Reliable, but slows down on steep Maltese hills.
  • Teverun Blade Mini Pro (Dual Motor):
    • Slope: 30%+ Grade
    • Speed on Hill: 25 km/h+
    • Result: Accelerates UP the hill. No slowing down.

5. The Verdict

I will always love Segway. They are the backbone of Techboss. But Teverun represents the next chapter.

I trust Teverun because they didn’t try to copy Segway. They built what Segway doesn’t: High-voltage, customizable, hydraulic-suspension beasts that are tailor-made for the enthusiast rider.

When you buy a Teverun from Techboss, you get the best of both worlds:

  1. The raw performance of a Teverun.
  2. The 6-year proven support and warranty service of Techboss.

Come to our showroom. Test ride the Segway GT2. Then test ride the Teverun Fighter. You will feel the difference immediately.

This section is designed to appeal to the “gearheads”—the customers who read spec sheets and care about what’s inside the deck. It uses the technical details I gathered (like specific suspension brands and controller types) to justify the value proposition.

Under the Hood: The Engineering Difference

For the casual rider, a scooter is just a battery and two wheels. But for the enthusiast, the magic is in the details.

When you compare a Teverun to a budget-friendly option like KuKirin, you might see similar top speeds on paper. But speed is cheap. Control is expensive.

Here is exactly why Teverun costs more to build—and why I’ve decided to slash my own margins to make it accessible to you.

1. The Controller: Square Wave vs. Sine Wave

The controller is the brain of the scooter. It tells the motor how to spin.

  • KuKirin (The Old School): Uses Square Wave Controllers.
    • How it works: It sends power in jagged “steps.”
    • The Result: You hear a loud “whine” from the motor. Acceleration is “jerky”—it dumps power all at once. It generates more heat, which degrades the electronics over time.
  • Teverun (The Upgrade): Uses Sine Wave (FOC) Controllers.
    • How it works: It matches the motor’s magnetic rhythm perfectly.
    • The Result: Dead silence. You can creep forward at 2km/h without a jolt, or launch to 60km/h instantly. It is 15% more energy-efficient, meaning you get more range from the same battery size.

2. Suspension: Springs vs. Hydraulics

  • KuKirin: Uses Spring Suspension.
    • The Tech: A simple metal coil.
    • The Flaw: Springs are “undamped.” When you hit a bump, the spring compresses, but then it shoots back up violently. This creates the “pogo-stick effect” where the scooter bounces after a bump, causing a momentary loss of traction.
  • Teverun: Uses KKE Adjustable Hydraulic Suspension.
    • The Tech: This is motorcycle tech. Inside the coil, there is a cylinder filled with oil.
    • The Advantage: The oil controls the rebound. You hit a bump, the suspension absorbs it, and the wheel stays planted. You can even twist a knob to dial in the stiffness for your weight.

3. The Battery: Smart BMS vs. Standard BMS

  • Teverun uses a Smart BMS (Battery Management System) that talks to your phone app. It balances the cells actively to ensure one cell doesn’t age faster than the others.
  • KuKirin uses a standard passive BMS. It protects from short circuits, but it doesn’t offer the granular cell-level balancing that extends the battery’s life by 2-3 years.

The Techboss Pledge: Why I Discounted Teverun

You might be looking at the specs above and thinking, “Okay, Teverun is clearly premium. That means it must be expensive.”

Normally, yes. A machine with KKE hydraulics and Sine Wave controllers should cost €400-€500 more than a KuKirin.

But I have made a decision.

I live in Malta. I sit in the same traffic on the Marsa flyover that you do. I breathe the same exhaust fumes. I believe that Personal Electric Transport (PEV) is the only way to unclog our roads.

If I price these scooters too high, people will keep driving cars. So, I have decided to lower my profit margins on the Teverun lineup.

  • I want you to have the safety of hydraulic suspension.
  • I want you to have the reliability of a Smart BMS.
  • I want you to ride a machine that you love, not just one you tolerate.

At Techboss, you aren’t paying for a logo. You are paying for a machine that I have personally vetted, priced to compete with the budget brands, but built to beat them.

Better Tech. Same Price. Cleaner Malta.
